Pickathon returns to the woods outside Portland, Oregon from August 2-4, 2019, with an initial lineup to be released January 21. Pickathon has built a reputation over the last twenty years as the best festival experience, combing groundbreaking programming focused on discovery, sustainable ethics, and a lineup that pushes the boundaries of genre.
Topping this coming year’s lineup will be two big debut performers in Phil Lesh and The Terrapin Family Band and The String Cheese Incident. Joining them will be a number of veteran FloydFest performers in Brandi Carlile, Karl Denson and Tiny Universe, Tyler Childers and more.
Today, noted bluegrass group Town Mountain unveils “Down Low” featuring Tyler Childers, the third single from their forthcoming record. Late last year, banjo player Jesse Langlais and Childers teamed up to write what would become the closing cut for their forthcoming record, New Freedom Blues . "To me 'Down Low' has a Waylon vibe, which is a damn good vibe to have," Langlais says.
Acclaimed singer, songwriter and performer Tyler Childers will embark on an extensive, nationwide tour this fall with headline performances in his largest rooms and venues to date. Stops include Brooklyn’s Brooklyn Bowl, Philadelphia’s Union Transfer, Washington D.C.’s 9:30 Club, San Francisco’s The Fillmore and L.A.’s The Troubadour among several others. Tickets go on-sale this Friday, June 8 at 10:00am local time. See below for complete details.
